About Me
Hello! Thank you for taking the time and consideration to peruse my e-portfolio. My name is Mrs. Binder (pronounced like the binder that holds notepaper). Currently, I am a student of the Mount Royal University Bachelor of Education Degree program at the Medicine Hat College. Originally from British Columbia, I have had the honour of calling Medicine Hat, Alberta my home for more than twenty years.

Education was not always my passion; in fact, you could say the opposite. I was not a dutiful student until education was on my own terms, as an adult. While some of the tribulations I faced as a student were due to socioeconomic influences, others were due to an educational system that I did not fit into--a system that has since changed in monumental ways, and one that I cannot wait to be a part of. And while I have a turbulent past with education, I have, however, always loved children, and I feel the challenges I faced as a student bring valuable experience to my practice.
